Tips for blowing film

The blown film is actually a kind of film between biaxial oriented film and tape casting film. The biaxial oriented film can also be produced by blowing method. The biaxial orientation can be approximately the same as long as the temperature is appropriate and the ratio of blowing and pulling is appropriate. In the production of blown film, if the drawing speed is too fast and the difference between the two blowing ratios is too large, the longitudinal orientation and transverse orientation may be produced.

As a result, the transverse strength is low and easy to break, just like the process of unidirectional tensile production of membrane cracked fiber. The prevention methods are to reduce the traction speed properly to match with the blowing ratio, increase the air volume of the air ring to make the blown film cool rapidly and avoid being stretched and oriented under the high elastic state at higher temperature.
